Matrix Design Group LLC Honored with Mountaineer Guardian Safety Award

Charleston, WV – April 15, 2024 — Matrix Design Group LLC has been awarded the Mountaineer Guardian Safety Award by the West Virginia Coal Association and the West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training for its outstanding commitment to mine safety as an independent contractor. The award was presented during a special luncheon on April 15 held at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center in Charleston, West Virginia.

Throughout 2024, the company achieved a flawless safety record, reporting zero accidents with 273,114.75 man hours worked. The average number of Matrix employees per pay period in 2024 was 130, with six employees in West Virginia.

Established in 1983, the Mountaineer Guardian Safety Awards Program is a collaborative initiative designed to promote exceptional safety standards in West Virginia’s coal mining industry. Each year, a panel of representatives from the sponsoring organizations evaluates regional nominations and selects awardees who demonstrate exemplary safety performance.
