As mining companies seek safer, faster, and more efficient underground powered haulage solutions, Matrix is proud to announce that IntelliZone® Proximity Detection is now CE and ATEX certified.
CE (Conformité Européenne) certification confirms that IntelliZone® meets European Union health, safety, and environmental protection requirements. As a result, mining operations throughout the European Economic Area can deploy the system while meeting applicable regulatory standards.
ATEX certification is designed for equipment used in potentially explosive environments. For underground mining operations, this certification provides additional assurance that IntelliZone® meets stringent safety requirements for hazardous working conditions.
In addition to CE and ATEX certification, IntelliZone® holds IECEx, MSHA, and SANS 60079-0/1/11/18 certifications. The system has also been approved for underground coal applications in Australia, including Queensland, since 2018. Furthermore, IntelliZone® is EMESRT Level 7 and Level 9 compliant, supporting deployment across many underground mining operations worldwide.
