Another Safety+ Symposium is in the books. Thank you to everyone who stopped by Booth #843 in Nashville. We’re already looking forward to Indianapolis in 2027.
The Matrix team is back from the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, and what a week it was. VPPPA’s Safety+ Symposium has a way of pulling the best of the EHS&S world into one room, and this year’s Nashville gathering delivered exactly that: safety leaders, VPP site managers, and labor-management teams comparing notes on what it actually takes to move a safety program from compliant to excellent.
Meaningful Conversations at Booth #843
The most valuable part of Safety+ is always the conversations, and this year was no exception.
We spent the week walking safety leaders through live demos of OmniPro®, talking through how it identifies risk in real time and turns that visibility into reporting that teams can actually use.
More importantly, valuable were the conversations that went the other way: hearing directly from safety directors and EHS managers about what’s keeping them up at night, where pedestrian detection programs succeed or stall out, and what “buy-in” really looks like on their floors.
Key Safety Themes from VPPPA Safety+ 2026
Two themes continued to surface at the booth and throughout the symposium:
- Operator trust remains the make-or-break factor in successfully onboarding new safety technology.
- Safety leaders must turn risk data into a clear story that organizational leadership can understand and act on.
These conversations extend far beyond the exhibit hall. Matrix looks forward to continuing them with safety teams working to create safer, more informed operations.
Industry Perspectives
“What struck me this year was how specific the questions were. Safety leaders aren’t asking whether the technology works anymore.
