Bringing the Forklift Industry Together
The Industrial Truck Association represents the North American forklift industry and its supply base. Its manufacturing members represent more than 85 percent of the forklift market in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Bringing the ITA Annual Meeting together with the Association of Industrial Truck Operators Conference and President’s Forum creates a concentrated opportunity for the manufacturers, operators, suppliers, and industry leaders shaping the future of industrial trucks to connect.
Interest in connected worker and proximity detection technology extended across the industries represented at the booth, including warehousing, heavy industrial environments, and underground mining operations. Many attendees also emphasized the need for better visibility into near misses. These events often go untracked, yet they can reveal emerging hazards before a recordable incident occurs.
Advancing Forklift Safety Technology
For Matrix, that industry overlap is exactly the point.
Matrix developed its AI-driven safety, automation, and productivity platforms for some of the world’s most demanding industrial and mining environments. Proximity detection and connected-worker technologies designed to help prevent collisions and close calls in mining environments address many of the same challenges forklift manufacturers and fleet operators encounter every day. The conversation also aligns naturally with the Industrial Truck Association’s ongoing commitment to forklift safety, including its work supporting National Forklift Safety Day.
